 In the past Samba has saved the lives of many poor and elite people.

In the past Samba has trained the poorest, the desperate, to bring them to evolve within our society, to give them an education, a future, a social life.

Today

All that remains is a primary school that makes do with the means at hand, a rectory that burned down and a church whose roof flew away

I want to salute the courage of this priest, who defines himself as a madman of Jesus, who faces the elements on a daily basis to try to rebuild this place.

We all know

Only education can get out young people from physical and mental poverty.

I address myself to all the men and women who do not know these places, this region

But also to all people of good will.
