The priest of Samba, beyond appearances

He is called the Fool of Jesus,he is a catholic priest who looks austere at first glance,

But,

Beyond appearances, the priest of Samba is a priest who found himself transferred to the most isolated place in the world that I know, a place almost in the middle of the jungle, in Samba in Cameroon.

This priest arrived in these places alone, and he lives there alone.

His first day was marked by a power cut, Samba being on a hill and far from the village, and power cuts in this remote part of Cameroon can last 6 months if the lines are broken.

I let you imagine what he went through.

But far from being discouraged, he survived that first day, I think that when you find yourself alone like that in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself face to face with God.

In any case, he is now convinced that this is where he should be.

He has been in Samba for a year and a half now and I met him during a visit to my wife's village barely a week ago. It was the first priest who took it into his head to rebuild this place, starting with the prespitery (the old one having burned down a few years ago)

Why the prespiter will you tell me?

To make it a center of spiritual retreat, which could with the income generated, revive the place, the primary school and why not a dispensary again one day. And why not as was the case in the past a college.

Samba was formerly a place of strong spirituality, this place housed a school and a dispensary,

Samba is totally falling apart.
